An adventurous jeep tour to western Uzbekistan: Nukus, the Kyzylkum Desert, the canyons of the Ustyurt Plateau, the ancient Mizdakhan complex, the Muynak lighthouse and Ship Cemetery, swimming in the Aral Sea, and an overnight stay in a yurt camp on the shore. Included: transfers by Toyota Prado, yurt accommodation, meals, and guided excursions.
Over two days you’ll witness the fantastic landscapes of the dried seabed and the “lunar” panoramas of Ustyurt, touch history at the Savitsky Museum, stroll along Muynak’s former shoreline, and take photos against the skeletons of ships. In the evening — dinner by the campfire and the starry desert sky; in the morning — sunrise over the sea and free time for swimming and contemplation. Logistics are streamlined: a morning flight from Tashkent, 4×4 jeeps on route, waterside accommodation, and return by evening flight.
